I started this blog to detail my training from autumn 2010 onwards, as I returned to exercise following a prolonged layoff from autumn 2009. 

I started training in the mid 1990s to aid my rugby, which I played until I was 17. Like many others I started on a bodybuilding-style road and for the first few years severely neglected my legs and back.

I always admired powerlifting, but have really gotten into it in terms of training culture over the last three years or so.

I was born in 1981. I’m male, based in the south of England and 5′ 7” (1.70 m) tall.

All training weights are given in kilograms.

Here’s a tiny picture of me training outside on uneven ground (not a good idea).
